Procedures and steps for discontinuing patient care when a breakdown of a doctor-patient relationship
Dear General Medical Council,
Dear Sir/Madam,
Under the FOI act Can I pease be provided with the following information . I have searched on your website but been unable to fund the information I require.
I am writing to formally request a copy of General Medical Council's guidance document outlining the procedures and steps for discontinuing a patient care when a breakdown of a doctor-patient relationship. Specifically, I am interested in GMC advice given to NHS trusts in the United Kingdom and the steps a surgeon should have reasonably have taken before ending the relationship with a patient.
I kindly ask that you provide me with the relevant document or guidelines that outline the procedures and protocols for discontinuing patient care in these circumstances.
If any additional information or context is required from my end to fulfil this request, please do not hesitate to let me know, and I will be happy to provide any necessary details.
I look forward to receiving the requested information and am grateful for your cooperation.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Yours Sincerely,
Stephen Smith
