Dear Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council,

Please provide the following information to me under the Freedom of Information Act.

Q1. Since 2017 have you used, hired or engaged the services of a private investigator for external or internal investigations of any employee or former employee.. Please break down the number of investigations each year from 1 January 2017 to date.

Q2. Please state for each assignment / investigation:
(a) the reason for the investigation,
(b) the basic nature of the investigation work undertaken,
(c) type of employee - current or former,
(d) type of investigation - external or internal investigation,
(e) the the job title or former job title of the person being investigated,
(f) the dates investigation was carried out,
(g) the names of the company to carry out the investigation;
(g) the cost of each investigation.

Q3. Do you have a Policy relating to the use of private investigators and if so please send it.

Q4. Does the Private Investigator have access to any employee or former employees personal information? If so, what is this information and on what databases is it held.
