Private health insurance for Senior Managers in 2016

The request was successful.

Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,

The BBC spent £553,000 on private health insurance for 322 people on Senior Manager (SM) grades in 2015, according to Freedom of Information request RFI20160706.

Please update these figures for 2016. Please state whether private health insurance has been provided to any new hires since the previous FoI; how many people not on SM grades are in receipt of private health insurance; and how many SMs are not in receipt of it.

In response to RFI20140861 you supplied a copy of the policy. Please say if there have been any changes to it or to the provider.

Yours faithfully,

Spencer Count
