Prisoners serving life sentences
Dear Ministry of Justice,
Please could you inform me about the following:
• The number of prisoners in custody serving a life sentence, not including those serving IPP, DPP or EPP sentences, for the years 2010-present
• The number of prisoners who are currently serving a minimum term of 32 years or more (including whole life)
• The number of prisoners who are currently serving a minimum term in excess of 30 years but less than whole life
• The number of prisoners who are currently serving a minimum term in excess of 25 years but less than whole life
