Priority Housing
Dear Greenwich Borough Council,
I would like to request the following information from yourselves:
1- Could you please advise me to how many people currently hold priority status; band B1
2- Could you please confirm out of that figure how many of the applicants are awaiting a 3 bedroom flat/maisonette
3- Could you please confirm the most recent successful bid on a 3 bedroom flat/maisonettes date of priority being awarded?
4- Could you please confirm the ‘average waiting time’ from the date of priority being awarded to moving into a three bedroom flat/maisonette?
Yours faithfully,
Mrs Crouch
Dear Greenwich Borough Council,
I would like to clarify that when I ask the most successful date/average wait time I am asking for those awarded a band b1, rather than all three bands.
Yours faithfully,
M Crouch

Dear Mrs Crouch
Freedom of Information request: FOI-43506 GM
Thank you for your request dated 16 September 2020
Our response is as follows:
1. Could you please advise me to how many people currently hold priority
status; band B1
2461
2. Could you please confirm out of that figure how many of the applicants
are awaiting a 3 bedroom flat/maisonette
The number of applicants with a Band B1 that are eligible for a 3 bedroom
flat or maisonette is 770.
3. Could you please confirm the most recent successful bid on a 3 bedroom
flat/maisonettes date of priority being awarded?
Based on confirmed offers of 3 bed Flat/Maisonettes to Band B1 cases of
Royal Greenwich owned and Registered Social Landlord properties, the most
recent was a tenancy start date of March 2020. The registration date of
the successful applicant was July 2016.
4. Could you please confirm the ‘average waiting time’ from the date of
priority being awarded to moving into a three bedroom flat/maisonette?
The average waiting time based on lettings made in the last financial year
of 3 bed flats or maisonettes to Band B1 applicants is 1089.94 days (35.86
months). The average waiting times can only be an approximation as any
offers made are subject to the applicants bidding for the property via
Choice Based Lettings.
