There are 36 MFDs and printers current in use within Mid Sussex District Council site.

2.What percentage of your fleet is in colour vs mono?

22% are mono and 78% are colour.

3.In terms of usage, what is your monthly page volumes?

4.Who are the main manufacturers for the printers (hardware)?

Xerox is the main manufacturer for printers.

5.Who are the main supplier(s) of print consumables (Toner, spares, etc)?

Xerox supplies all print consumables for Xerox MFD printers as part of the support contract, all others are bought via a request to quote to suppliers. Procurement is to the cheapest quote.

6.What are the start and end dates for the print support contract(s) if applicable?

Print support contract with Xerox is due to end at the end of 2018, new contract for 5 years with Apogee has just been awarded.

7.What is the approximate spend on printers and consumables during the last year?

Xerox consumables are included in the contract. No new printers were bought last year.
MFD costs for the last 12 months were £24620.84.

8.What is the length of the MFD contract(s)?

5 years.

9.What is the approximate spend on MFD’s and consumables during the last full year?

All included in the Xerox contract.

10.What are the start and end dates for the managed print contract in your organization (if applicable)?

Xerox contract ends at the end of 2018 with new contract with Apogee starting for 5 years.

11.Which procurement route or framework was used to procure this service?

Sub-lot 3.1B – Managed Print Services (Managed Print Service)

12. Whom is the responsible person for Printer procurement within the organisation?

Service areas buy their own printers if they need additional printing requirements that can’t be done via the MFDs. MFD contract is managed by Julie Simpson.
