Thank you for your email. Following the recent Government guidance regarding Corona Virus, Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service have activated their business continuity plan and I am working remotely. I will check emails periodically throughout the day and will respond as soon as possible. The Information Commissioner has stated that although legislative deadlines are still in place, it is accepted that we may not always fully comply with timescales given that staff may be unavailable due to working on other critical tasks.

Dear Mr Harford,

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000

Thank you for your request for information which was received on 17 April
2020.

I can confirm that we are dealing with your request under the Freedom of
Information (FOI) Act 2000.

Decision

The information you have requested is held by the Devon & Somerset Fire &
Rescue Service (DSFRS).

Please find below the detail of the information you have requested along
with our response.

Request

Please may you supply me with information that you hold relating to the
callouts that have involved Princetown fire station in the years
2016,2017,2018,2019.

Response
Most of the information you have requested is technically exempt under
Section 21 of the FOI Act as it is ‘reasonably accessible to you by other
means’. However, under our duty to provide advice and assistance, I can
confirm that the 2016, 2017 and 2018 data for Princetown is already
available by opening the ‘Summary of Incidents Attended’ spreadsheet on
our website [1]here. By clicking in the white box to the right of the dark
blue ‘Select location of interest from list-----------à’, you can then
choose Princetown. You will see that there are also three tabs offering
different views of this data at the bottom where you can see data per
fiscal/financial year which will give you some of 2019.

I am currently waiting to hear if and when the full 2019 data will be
available and as required by the legislation, we will aim to answer this
final part of your request within 20 working days following the date we
received it. If for any reason we are unable to meet this deadline we will
keep you fully informed of the reasons for this.

During the pandemic, it’s possible we'll take more than 20 working days to
supply information under the FOI Act. The Information Commissioner
recognises that longer time may be needed when DSFRS staff have to
prioritise other work to keep front line services running. However, we
will endeavor to keep you updated and thank you for your patience and
understanding at this time.

Review

You have the right to ask us to review this decision.  If you wish to do
this please set out your grounds for review in writing and send them to
the Information Compliance Officer at the Service Headquarters address or
e-mail [2][Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service request email].

Appeals

If you are still dissatisfied after a Service review you have the right to
appeal to the Information Commissioner at the Information Commissioner’s
Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.

Yours sincerely,

Wendy Richmond

2017, 2018, 2019.

Response
We wish to highlight that the website data you were pointed to in our
previous, part response of 24 April 2020 only gives the incidents within
the Princetown station ground.

Therefore, please find attached a spreadsheet containing the incidents
Princetown were involved in/got called to for all the years requested,
which is actually different - apologies for any confusion caused.

Please note, that this does not mean that they attended all the incidents
and it also includes co responder (medical) calls which are attended by a
different vehicle to fires.
