This is a freedom of information request regarding the prevention of the use of VPNs from accessing the BBC Iplayer from outside the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom.

Does the BBC have an internal department that is dedicated to stopping VPNs from outside the United Kingdom from accessing the BBC Iplayer, or does the BBC use external companies instead, or a mixture of BBC internal services and external companies? Please provide the names of the BBC internal departments and any external companies.

Please provide a list of VPN programs that the BBC has identified and stopped from accessing the BBC Iplayer from outside the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom.

Are there software programs used by the BBC to detect the usage of a VPN that is being used from outside the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom from accessing the BBC Iplayer? If so, what are the names of the software programs?

Are there software programs used by the BBC to detect the authenticity of a British IP address from accessing the BBC Iplayer? If so, what are the names of the software programs?
