Pregnancy Loss Statistics

We're waiting for Ashleigh Coleman to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust (Northern Ireland),

Please supply the following information for each quarter of each calendar year since 2016 up to and including the current year.

1. Miscarriages
2. Ectopic pregnancies
3. Still births
4. Babies born with fatal or life-limiting health problems
5. Premature births
6. Infant mortality up to 1 year
6. Maternal mortality
7. Maternal morbidity

Please supply the information both as a) number of cases and b) percentage of total number of births. Thank you.

Your request will be taken forward and the Trust will endeavour to respond
within the timeframe however, the Information Governance Department is
dealing with a large number of requests for information, including a
backlog of requests as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic which had a major
impact across services.

RFI 41719 – Information in relation to Pregnancy Loss Statistics  

 

The relevant service within the Trust are currently working on a response
to your request.

 

Part 4 of the request is asking for Babies born with Fatal or
life-limiting health problem and in order to respond to this part of the
request the Clinical Coding team have been approached. The Clinical coding
team have advised  there is a wide range of conditions that might fall
under this definition and would be grateful if you could be more specific
in terms of conditions.
