Pre-registration Pharmacist Training Admission Statistics
Dear University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust,
I was hoping you could help me with the following questions I have as a Freedom of Information Request:-
1) What number of applications did you have for your pre-registration pharmacist training programme and how many positions were given on the programme for the last 3 years of intake, presented on an annual basis.
2) I would like to know the proportion of entrants admitted on to
your pre-registration pharmacist training programme that had
studied in the first instance from Higher Education Institutions
that fall into the following regions:
- Northern (including The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen; The
University of Strathclyde, Glasgow; and The University of
Sunderland)
- Pennine (including Liverpool John Moores University; the
University of Bradford; the University of Manchester; the
University of Central Lancashire; and the University of
Huddersfield)
- Central (including the University of Nottingham; De Montfort
University, Leicester; Keele University; Aston University; and the
University of Wolverhampton)
- Western (including the University of Bath; Cardiff University;
the University of Reading; and the University of Portsmouth)
- Eastern (including The School of Pharmacy, University of London;
King's College London; Kingston University; the University of
Brighton; the University of East Anglia; the University of
Hertfordshire; and the Medway School of Pharmacy, University of
Greenwich)
I am happy for this data to be communicated in terms of straight
numbers of students admitted, or as a percentage of the places
distributed to students from each category.
I also request the following information:
3) Of the students offered places to the programme indicated
above, how many had been previously employed by, or volunteered
within, the hospital for any length of time.
I would like the data pertaining to the last 3 years of entry,
Ideally I would like the data to be presented in PDF format so it
is easily accessible to me.
Yours faithfully,
P Smith
