PPL Admissions Information
Dear University of Oxford,
According to the Freedom of Information Act, I am requesting the following statistics, broken down by individual colleges if possible, for the past 3 admission cycles for the PPL (Psychology & Philosophy) course:
1) I would like to know the mean, median and range of TSA scores for candidates invited to interview and those who were successful.
2) I would also like any scoring or grading system used to assess interview performance. If such a form/criteria sheet is provided for admission tutors to record performance, I would kindly request this to be provided separately, and if possible also the average score/grade successful candidates received.
3) The AS grades, predicted A-level grades and GCSEs of successful candidates(anonymised)
4)Statistics of the number of candidates being drawn to the pool for each college, how many interviews at other colleges did each candidate receive(anonymised) and which were successful.
5) Any form/information sheet or general grading system admission tutors used when they present candidates to the pool. If such a document is used, I would kindly request this to be provided separately.
6) How the TSA/Interview/GCSE Score/A Level predictions are weighted when making an offer.
7) The percentage of successful applicants that took Biology AS or A2 level.
8) The percentage of successful applicants that only had Mathematics A2 level as their "science/maths" subjects.
Yours Faithfully,
Akin Ojolola
Thank you for your request, which is now being processed. You will receive a response by the statutory deadline of 24th July.
Dear UAS Foi,
Sorry, could you please also provide the percentage of successful applicants that did not have Biology or Psychology A level?
Yours sincerely,
Akin
Dear UAS Foi,
Furthermore, if there is any formula/process for weighting different aspects of the admissions criteria when making offers (e.g. 20% grades 20% PS 20% TSA etc), could you please disclose the weights on each aspect?
Yours sincerely,
Akin O
Dear UAS Foi,
Thank you very much for the response. In the admissions booklet that you have attached, there is a link to some shortlisting methods and criteria, however I am not able to view this because I don't have an account on the website. Is it possible that you could attach this as well?
Thank you,
Akin Ojolola
This information is available to the general public on the University's website. You do not need 'an account' to access it. Click on the link, or cut and paste the address into your browser.

Dear UAS Foi,
I'm not sure if it is just my computer then, but when I click this link (http://www.psy.ox.ac.uk/study/undergrad/...), it tells me to enter my Oxford username to log in?
Yours sincerely,
Akin O
