Potholes/repair/costs
In accordance with the FOI Act please can you provide me with the following information for financial years April to March for:
2010/11
2011/12
2012/13
2013/14
And 2014 to date
a) number of potholes ordered for repair
b) number of third party insurance claims received relating to potholes
c) number of third party insurance claims settled relating to potholes
d) average cost of claims settled relating to potholes
e) total cost of claims settled relating to potholes
f) number of FTE administrative staff involved in handling third party claims, please include all staff in the entire end to end process
g) total revenue budget spent on pothole repairs excluding staff costs
h) current contractual arrangements for pothole repairs
i) cost of annual insurance premium for highways

a) number of potholes ordered for repair
Brighton & Hove City Council does not record potholes separately from other carriageway details/defects and therefore does not hold this information
f) number of FTE administrative staff involved in handling third party claims, please include all staff in the entire end to end process
Highways: 0.33 FTE plus Insurance staff
g) total revenue budget spent on pothole repairs excluding staff costs
Brighton & Hove City Council does not record potholes separately from other carriageway details/defects and therefore does not hold this information
h) current contractual arrangements for pothole repairs
Via a term contractor for highway safety maintenance
