Dear Kelly,

Thank you for your reply.

Would it be possible to get some clarification on why this task would be too costly.

You have an electronic system that allows people to enter location information about potholes.
I believe this system allows to extract. information and produce reports.
If nothing else can you at least. provide this basc information

Yours sincerely,

kulbinder dio

Good morning,

I have passed your query on to KCC's Highways team and will get back to
you as soon as I have a response from them.

Good afternoon,

Please see below the response below from the Highways team:

As stated their were in excess of 58,000 pothole reports within the
timeframe requested, and while we agree in terms of the electronic system
holding location data,  if specific locations to each of these reports is
requested this would indeed be a extremely large report, which may not be
a feasible option. It would also include a number of variables which
cannot be quantified in terms of location as multiple potholes can only be
plotted in 1 location.

Alternatively, would you like more specific locations in terms of:

Exact plot- this information cannot be extracted from the system.

Road name - I can look into a data query report which might be able to
pull this.

District - This would be possible.

Please advise if you are able to refine your request.

Kind regards,

Kelly Leeson

Dear Kelly

Sorry, but I'm just trying to understand your reply.
You said 'if specific locations to each of these reports is requested this would indeed be a extremely large report, which may not be a feasible option.', does this mean it is feasible?
While 58,000 lines in a standard printed report may be large, 58,000 rows in a spreadsheet might not necessarily be considered large.

I see you have provided an option to have a list of road names. If exact location is still not feasible then a list of road names would be great.

Thanks for all your help

Yours sincerely,

kulbinder dio

Good afternoon,

When the team say 'it may be feasible' they would have to investigate
this. The reports that are generated from the Highways system are not in
spreadsheet form, each entry may have multiple lines.

I will request from the team a list of roads, and they will inform me if
this is possible.

Kind regards,
