I am writing with reference to the Freedom of Information request that was
submitted on 23^rd March 2023 regarding claims made by motorists as a
result of damage caused by potholes. Firstly my apologies for the delay
in this response.
You requested the data for the last 12 month so I can confirm that we
looked at claims from the 31^st March 2022 to the 31^st March 2023
I will respond to the questions in the order that they were raised:
1) How many claims has the Council received from motorists in the last 12
months (to most recent available) because of damage caused by potholes?
Response 45
2) How many of these claims were successful Response 4 (but 12 claims
still ongoing so this figure may move)
3) What is the total amount that has been paid out as a result of the
successful claims? Response £1574.90
