FOI, Rochford District Council

Dear Martin,

Thank you for your request for information which has been dealt with under
the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

To confirm, Essex County Council are the Highways Authority for the
Rochford district and deal with pot holes as part of their jurisdiction
for ‘on-street’ matters.  Such information is, therefore, not held by us
and applicable to provide as asked for.  Essex County Council’s Freedom of
Information email address is [1][email address] should you
wish to further your enquiries with them directly, if not having done so
already.

Rochford District Council will only address any pot holes concerning land
which it owns (such as car parks) and has its own separate mechanisms for
maintenance/repair as part of its overall local responsibilities.  On this
basis it is to advise you that there are no records held that meet your
criteria concerning pot hole claims during the financial period 2022/2023
to date.  Therefore it is a nil to report and there is no further
information available.

The information is made available to you for re-use under the terms of the
Open Government Licence for public sector information, unless otherwise
stated, and subject to conditions as described at the following link:

I trust that you find the above information useful, but if you are unhappy
with the way in which your request for information has been dealt with,
you can request a review by writing to the Interim Director - People &
Governance, Andrew Hunkin: Rochford District Council, South Street,
Rochford SS4 1BW or alternatively by email to
[3][email address].  We aim to handle all reviews within 20
working days from the date the complaint is received, but there may be
occasions, depending on the circumstances, when it will take longer.

If you remain dissatisfied with the handling of your request or complaint,
then you have the right to appeal to the Information Commissioner at The
Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow,
Cheshire SK9 5AF [4]www.ico.org.uk.  There is no charge for pursuing
such action.

Thanks and Regards

Julie
