Further to your information request received by Braintree District
Council, on 21 March 2023, case reference 6720, I write to advise that the
Council holds no information in respect your request detailed below.

Requested information on: Pothole Damage Claims

As Braintree District Council is not the Highways Authority, we do not
handle claims associated with potholes on the public highway – these are
directed to ECC Highways

The Council is responsible for a small number of roadways, but as at
08/03/2023 (due to a similar request) we are not aware of any incidents
since 2016 on these roadways which were associated with potholes.
