Dear L Elvin,

Thank you for your recent request for information which I have enclosed
below for ease of reference. Your request has been treated in accordance
with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and/or the Environmental
Information Regulations 2004.

On the 12/03/2024 we asked for clarification on one of your questions “How
cost of pay outs, by month”, but have not yet heard back from you. We have
answered all questions below, apart from this, one as we are unsure what
is meant.

I can confirm that we hold information that falls within the scope of your
request. The answers to your questions have been provided in red text
below and in the attached document.

For - September, October, November, December 2023 and January and February
2024

Number of potholes reported by month. See attached.

Number of potholes filled by month. See attached.

Cost of filling potholes by month. See attached.

How many compensation claims made for potholes by month Total cost of

What road / pothole had the most individual claims? How many? The A48 had
the most individual claims with 3 separate locations identified.
                                                                                    

What road / pothole incurred the highest value of claims in terms of total
cost? How much? A pothole in Whitebrook Lane caused damage to a vehicle
and settlement was achieved in the sum of £159.00.     
                                               
                                                                                               

What was the largest individual claim financially - where, when and how
much and what for? Whitebrook Lane, November 2023, £159 was reimbursed for
damage to a tyre caused by a pothole.                               
                                                               
                                                                                               

How much was spent defending claims? No external costs have been incurred
defending claims.
