Dear Mr Sheils

Thank you for your e-mail received 21 April requesting information
regarding pot holes.

We are claiming exemption under Section 39 of the Freedom of Information
act and have processed your request and released this information under
the Environmental Information Regulations Act.

In response to your request there have been 645 customer enquiries
received by the Highways section from the beginning of this year, to
date. Out of these enquiries the Area Highways Inspectors have raised a
total of 221 orders to repair potholes and broken down into the following

Footway = 11

DBM Carriageway = 166

Concrete Carriageway = 54

Please find attached a breakdown of the above orders by location.

Most of these orders have multiple locations and up to or more than 100
potholes in any single order. As a consequence there are over 1000
potholes identified and marked for repair or have already been repaired to
date.

I hope that I have been able to provide you with the information you
require and that you are satisfied with the way that I have dealt with
your request, however if for any reason you are not, you can make a
complaint by writing to the Corporate Complaints Team, Room 104, Town
Hall, 1 Town Square, Barking IG11 7HE. Alternatively you can make your
complaint on-line at www.barking-dagenham.gov.uk or you can e-mail your
complaint to [email address].

If you are still not satisfied, after following our Corporate Complaints
procedure, you can take your complaint to the Information Commissioner.
Full details of how to do this will be made available on request.

Kind regards

Jacquie Harris
