Dear Manuel Hinojosa

Thanks for your request under the Freedom of Information act.

While we have done our best to provide the information you have requested,
it should be mentioned that recording practices mean that this data needs
to be interpreted with some caution. The attached report is based on the
previous qualification data the School holds (where institution is
recorded against each qualification), but in cases where, for example, a
student has applied in 2008 with a degree from one University, and then
applies again in 2013, the information may be superseded. There are also
cases where the institution code is not stored against a qualification. In
these cases the report will look at whatever the student has indicated
their previous/current institution is when applying. Where a student has
graduated from another degree here at LSE, the field will be overwritten
with LSE.

If you think that the information provided does not meet your request,
please write to Kevin Haynes, Head of the Legal Team, Governance, Legal
and Planning Division, London School of Economics and Political Science,
Houghton Street, London, WC2A 2AE ([1][email address]). The response
to your request will then be reviewed, and you will be informed of the
outcome within 20 working days. You can also contact the Information
Commissioner's Office [2]http://www.ico.gov.uk/, though they expect the
internal review to be carried out before receiving a complaint directly.

Best,

Dan Bennett

Dear Dann Bennett,

Thank you very much for the data provided. Though the information is useful, I noticed that many rows had similar but different names for the same insitution and that the programme filter links to a data set that is not accessible to me (maybe it links to an internal database). Is this something you would kindly assist me with?

Many thanks

Yours faithfully,

M. Hinojosa
