Post-review changes to major incident procedures

Leo Pritchard made this Freedom of Information request to NHS England Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

NHS England did not have the information requested.

To whom it may concern,

I am requesting information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding changes to major incident response procedures following the review of major incident triage that led to the development of the Major Incident Triage Tool (MITT).

Specifically, I would like to know:

1. Has this review of major incident triage led to changes in major incident response procedures other than the introduction of the MITT and the Ten Second Triage Tool and the deprecation of the Triage Sieve and Triage Sort?
2. If so, please provide a detailed list of these changes.
3. For each of these changes, please describe the timescale over which and how the change has been or will be implemented.
4. For each of these changes, please provide the rationale for making the change.

Thank you very much for your time and help.

Yours sincerely,
Leo Pritchard.

Decision

NHS England does not hold the information you have requested.
NHS England is a single regulatory body responsible for overseeing the
funding, planning, delivery, transformation, and performance of NHS
healthcare in England. It is also responsible for providing unified,
national leadership for the NHS. NHS England does not directly deliver

NHS England has not changed its organisational major incident response

Additionally, the Organisation does not hold this information for NHS
responders e.g. Ambulance Trusts that this affects.

As such, you may wish to redirect your request to local providers to
understand the impact regarding implementation. You can find a list of all
