Post-Primary Year 11-12 Transfer Figures

Education Authority, Northern Ireland did not have the information requested.

Dear Education Authority, Northern Ireland,

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I request figures on post-primary school transfers for year groups 11 and 12 for 2009-present.

The data, if possible, should be for North Down and Belfast specifically.
I would like to receive the total number of pupils applying to transfer to different schools each year and the number of such applications that were approved, denied, and are currently pending.

Yours faithfully,

Dawid Giertuga

Dear Education Authority, Northern Ireland,

It has been more than one week since I sent my request to you, and I haven't received any confirmation that it is being dealt with. Could you please confirm that you have, in fact, received my request?

Yours faithfully,

Dawid Giertuga

Dear Education Authority, Northern Ireland,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Education Authority, Northern Ireland's handling of my FOI request 'Post-Primary Year 11-12 Transfer Figures'.

Your response to my request states that you do not hold the requested information because "parents apply directly to the schools". Whereas this may be the case for pending and denied applications, I also requested figures for approved transfers. Surely, the Education Authority would hold information on schools accepting transferring pupils? Thus I request the number of successful transfers in the time period specified previously.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/p...

Yours faithfully,

Dawid Giertuga
