Dear Post Office Limited,In evidence to The Horizon Inquiry on thu 30 November 2023 Jarnail Singh Senior Lawyer claims"As and when the practice certificate came up forrenewal, it was done as a bulk renewal by thePost Office and they knew very well what I wasdoing".Can you confirm how often the Post Office paid invoices for Mr Singh's private practice,why they would do so and how many other Post Office lawyers had similar arrangements?If Jarnail Singh was a unique case why was this?

Dear [email address],Thank you for a reply.Jarnail Singh clearly states it was his practice certificate you paid the renewal on "and you knew very well what he was doing"How can you have no record of this arrangement,is his recollection faulty or is it a slipshod search?

As per our response letter, "...it is commonplace for employers of solicitors to pay for employees' practising certificates, as these are necessary for employees to act as solicitors and to perform certain legal work."
