Dear [email address],As always thanks for a reply. When the cost limit was set on dealing with an FOI request I dont imagine they considered a Government funded and supervised Body being guilty of the greatest miscarriage of justice in British History. To look at a SPM wrongly returning money that Horizon "believed" was owed could involve hundreds if not thousands of cases. Is it right to hide behind working to a budget to avoid discovering why and how this Scandal continues to run?Do you have discretion to spend more on searching, can the ICO demand you search? As I have said before I wish Callum, the NFSP,Saf or Elliot were asking these questions but their attentions are elsewehere.I found it hard to believe what I ask for is not "recorded information"-you must have some remarkably incurious people at all levels in the Post Office or are the errors of dealing with Horizon problems set to be repeated with disclosure,Compensation,FOI requests,Accountability? Are you permitted to ask for a budget increase to answer a FOI request. The "How many SPM's did we tell You are the only one having problems with Horizon?"is surely worth an answer if only for the 27 who have died awaiting settlement.
Yours sincerely,
john o'sullivan
