Dear Post Office Limited,

In the context that there were 11,659 Post Office branches in Mar 2017 (1), with 168 less rural post offices since Mar 2016 ...

A. How many post office branches are presently closed due to financial investigations?(2)

B. How many postmaster suspensions have there been in the year 2017/2018 so far?

C. Since 2009/2010 how many of the postmaster suspensions recorded have resulted in:
i. successful criminal prosecution?
ii. unsuccessful criminal prosecution?
iii. prosecution case rejection, by the CPS?
iv. Post Office Ltd decision to NOT proceed with a court case?
v. the subsequent permanent closure of the case branch concerned?

D. Of the postmaster suspension cases already settled how long was each branch closed-for-business, before the case was concluded?
[Less than one calendar month/More than one month (but less than 3 months)/Longer than 3 months?]
Also, please include mean/mode/median average timescales
(N = total number of cases since 2009/2010, excluding those presently pending case conclusion.)

Yours faithfully,
