Dear Eleanor Shaikh
We are writing in respect of your information request, FOI2023/00017. At
present our view is that your request falls within the scope of the
qualified exemption(s) at section(s) 42 & 43 of the FOIA, relating to
Legal Professional Privilege and Commercial Interests.
As permitted by section 10 of the FOIA, Post Office requires further time
to consider the public interest test in relation to these exemptions. An
extension is permitted until such time as is reasonable in the
circumstances. Having considered the FOIA Code of Practice, Post Office
considers that an extension of 20 working days is appropriate in this
instance and will therefore aim to respond to you by 13th March.

Dear [email address],
Thank you for your reply of 13 March to my FOI request FOI2023/00017 of 15 January 2023.
I understand you are seeking a second extension before responding to this request but, as you are suggesting a further extension of 20 days until 13 March, which is today, I assume you have made a mistake with your dates.
Please can you clarify the date by which you hope to have determined whether the public interest in disclosing the requested documents outweighs the exemptions on the grounds of LPP or Commercial Interest.
Yours sincerely,
Eleanor Shaikh
