Possible discrimination of disabled persons

The request was partially successful.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

I am a UK citizen

I am disabled and receive a disability payment from the UK `I live in France`

My Disability payment is called PIP `Personal Independence Payment`

The UK has recently said it will give all people in the UK a £150 disability payment for those on PIP `Personal Independence Payment`

However, despite receiving the Disability payment I have been excluded from the cost of living payment because I live in France

The response I received from HM Government DWP was `It is only payable to customers in the UK`

I believe that this is discriminatory for the following reasons

Disability discrimination is when a person with a disability is treated less favorably than a person without the disability in the same or similar circumstances

Yours faithfully,

Kevan Daber
