for a copy of an invoice for the portrait of Diane Abbott MP, and data
showing who requested it. We have sought to answer your query below.

 

 

This information is held by the House of Commons. The invoice for this
item is attached.

 

 

The production of Diane Abbott’s portrait was commissioned by the
Speaker’s Advisory Committee on Works of Art, and more information about
their decisions (as Informal Notes, available in the publications section)

As this information is reasonably accessible to you otherwise than under
the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA), your request is refused. In
refusing your request the House is applying the exemption set out in
section 21 (1) and (2) (a) of the FOIA.  This is an absolute exemption and
the public interest test does not apply.
