Pollution incidents category 1,2 and 3 in SWWM area 2013-2020

The request was successful.

Dear Environment Agency,

I am writing to make an open government request for all the information to which I am entitled under the freedom of information act and the environmental information regulations.
In order to assist you with this request, I am outlining my query as specifically as possible.
If however this request is too wide or too unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me as I understand that under the act, you are required to advise and assist requesters.
Please provide by electronic means in excel spreadsheet form the number of category 1, 2 and 3 incidents to both land and water for calendar years 2013-2020 in the Staffordshire, Warwickshire, and West midlands area.
Please also disclose for each year, how many of these incidents were causally linked to Severn Trent Water, a third party whom you often call to attend incidents which may involve their own illegal discharges.

I understand that under the act, I should be entitled to a response within 20 working days. I would be grateful if you could confirm that you have received this request. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future via the what do they know website address.

Yours faithfully,

Mr Carroll

Dear Mr Carroll

We hope you are well.

Unfortunately our response to your request for information under FOI/EIR,
(Our ref 204990) is delayed due to COVID-19 closures which have impacted
on our teams in the following way:

The information (or part of it) will take some time to access due to size
and limited access to the network due to our offices being closed at the
present time due to the COVID-19 restrictions.

The ICO are not extending statutory timescales on requests for
information, however they have stated that we will not be penalised for
delays due to Covid-19 considering the compelling public interest in the
current health emergency.

As an organisation, we are also attending to critical business and
supporting the wider Government response to the Coronavirus. Therefore we
are unable to process this case as usual. We apologise for the delay and
will endeavour to update you again as soon as possible.

Kind regards.
