Dear Humberside Police,

I would like to know what Humberside police's policy is regarding protecting witnesses against potential litigation/investigation where those witnesses have been encouraged to lie by the force for the benefit of assisting the prosecution of someone innocent for example (a stitch-up).

Is payment offered in such circumstances and if so please disclose amount and the number of times this has happened.

Has any witness protection/payment been offered in the case involving Police Constable Thomas Blake 1131 and the Johnsons (case reference: 16AY/2837/15) and if so please disclose all information the force has on record.

Yours faithfully,

fFaudwAtch UK

Complaint sent to Information Commissioner's Office about Humberside Police failing to deal with my FoI request properly.

Dear Sir/Madam

RE: INDEPENDENT REVIEW OF FOI REQUEST TO HUMBERSIDE POLICE – (REF NONE)

I made a freedom of information request to Humberside Police (‘HP’) on 24 March 2016. Details can be found on the “what do they know” website at the following address:

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/p...
POLICY ON WITNESS PROTECTION/PAYMENT

You will see from the contents of the above that HP had not responded by the 25 April deadline and on the 16 May I notified it about the delay by submitted a request for a review.

I communicated on 17 June to HP that if it had not responded by 22 June I would assume it would have no intention of doing so and prefer that I escalate the matter to the Information Commissioner.

In essence, HP has not responded to any of the communications other than those which were computer generated.

Yours sincerely

fFaudwAtch UK
