Policy on Observing Speed Limits

The request was partially successful.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please could you provide the following information about the Dyfed-Powys Police force.
(1) Is there a policy that police vehicles must observe speed limits whilst being driven for routine police work (i.e. excepting emergencies)?
(2) If there is a policy, what form does it take? If there is a written policy, please supply a copy.
(3) If there is a policy, is the policy being monitored, and if so, how?
(4) If there is a policy being monitored, what were the results of the latest assessment? Please supply any relevant documents.

Thank you,

John Dean

I dont know about their policy on speed limits, but I know that they use their police cars a weapons against those who dare to question them. They road rammed me for no other reason that malicious intent. I spent many years exposing the corruption in this police force, and believe to this day that there should be a public inquiry into their criminal antics.

They thought that they could get away with bumpering my car, in which rode my pregnant wife! However, after a chase which resulted in me dragging the driver out through his window, ripping his uniform etc etc THEY SHOWED THEIR TRUE COWARDICE

This is hardly a credible reply! I have actually seen police cars traveling way over the 30mph speed limit in built up areas. And witnessed police cars, on a number of occasions, passing me over the speed limit with their screens on, and lights flashing.

Then again what can you expect from this corrupt police force.
