Dear Ms Clearly

I am writing in response to your request for information received on 26
May 2012.

You requested electronic copies of:

A  The policies and procedures which relate to social services removing
children from the care of their parents.

The relevant chapter from Bournemouth Children’s Social Care Policies and
Procedure Manual is attached.

B  The criteria which has to be fulfilled to make a child eligible for
being adopted out of a parent’s care.

Unless a child has been relinquished for adoption by parents, every effort
is made to place with family.  If that is not an option and the child
needs a forever family then this matter is placed before the Courts who
make the final decision on Placement Orders based on all the evidence
available to them.

C  What psychological assessments are used on the parents? (or other
assessments) and a copy of a blank version.

Psychological assessments are generally ordered through the Court process
and there is no specific report format for these.

I hope that this deals with your request satisfactorily.
