Policies and Procedures for Managing Patients Without an NHS Registered GP

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I would like to request disclosure of any documents, policies, procedures, or other relevant materials held by Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust that address the following:

1. The management of patients who do not have, or choose not to have, an NHS registered GP.

2. The entity or personnel responsible for the ongoing management of such patients' medical conditions.

3. The procedures for prescribing necessary medications to these patients.

4. The responsibility for the duty of care towards these patients.

I am particularly interested in any documents that outline:

a) Protocols or guidelines followed by healthcare professionals within the Trust when dealing with patients without a registered GP.

b) The mechanisms in place to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.

c) Any specific departments or roles designated to handle these situations.

d) How the Trust coordinates with other NHS bodies or healthcare providers to manage such patients.
