Dear Police Scotland,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Police Scotland's handling of my FOI request 'Police Training'.

I wish my request to be reviewed as I am not satisfied the grounds claimed are applicable.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/p...

Yours faithfully,

John Brown

Dear FOI Glasgow,

Just to clarify I am asking for details of the legislation officers are taught. I fail to see the justification you provided for not disclosing this .
Yours sincerely,

John Brown

Good morning John,

I note the terms of your request dated 22 December, 2016: namely: Can you supply the material in respect of the academic teaching of probation officers whilst at the police college?

Further, in response to this request and my email dated 23 January, concerning this question you asked for a review. This review was based upon the following "... Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews. I am writing to request an internal review of Police Scotland's handling of my FOI request 'Police Training'. I wish my request to be reviewed as I am not satisfied the grounds claimed are applicable...."

This review, should you still wish to progress, will be undertaken by 20/02/2017.

The email below, whilst it does provide additional clarification, does not fall within the scope of your original request that you asked to be reviewed. You questioned the application of the exemption based upon the provision of training material of probationary officers.

Can you please advise if you are still wishing for the review to be undertaken - this is based upon the application of the exemption (Section 33(1)(b) Commercial Interests and the Economy) relating to training materials.

Further, details of the "of the legislation officers are taught" do you wish this to be taken as a new request? Or does this replace your review?

Thank you for your assistance.

Kind regards

Andrew

Dear Andrew McCulloch,

I was originally wanting details of all the legislation officers are trained in. Therefore replace my review if it provides clarity in this information being disclosed.

Good Morning.

There is a huge amount of legislation that a Police Officer can be trained in. Could you be more specific about the area of interest to you?

Thank you.

Steven.
