Classification: NOT PROTECTIVELY MARKED

Thank you for your enquiry which has been logged under the above
reference. Having completed my enquiries I am able to respond as follows:

Section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) places two duties
on public authorities. Unless exemptions apply, the first duty at
Sec1(1)(a) is to confirm or deny whether the information specified in a
request is held. The second duty at Sec1(1)(b) is to disclose information
that has been confirmed as being held. Where exemptions are relied upon
s17 of FOIA requires that we provide the applicant with a notice which: a)
states that fact b) specifies the exemption(s) in question and c) states
(if that would not otherwise be apparent) why the exemption applies.

In respect of this enquiry:

I would firstly mention that technically your request is not a valid
request as you have not provided your full name but despite that I will
respond as follows:

Can you identify how many Police stations are currently operational?

Yes, Essex Police publishes details of all it's Police Stations at:
[1]http://www.essex.police.uk/my_neighbourh...

Please could you include custody(Have/Haven't), Division, amount of
officer/PCSO/Police Staff, and teams based there e.g. Traffic, SNT, etc.

I have attached a list of custody suites as requested. I would have
concerns in releasing detail of who / which teams is based where as it
could allow operational capacity to be identified (s31 Law Enforcement is
likely to apply) but Essex Police is currently undergoing a major review
and teams are moving as part of that.

Please see:

Until all those moves have taken place I am not able to establish the
information at the time of your enquiry. Moves are happening almost daily
at present.

I hope the information I have been able to provide is of use.
