Police revenues: FOIA

The request is waiting for clarification. If you are Lucas87, please sign in to send a follow up message.

Dear Sir or Madam

This is a FOIA request about the receipt of revenue by your police force or organisation “the Force” from all bodies which are not UK public sector organisations. To be clear, this is not a request for information about the receipt of gifts and hospitality, but the receipt of revenue in exchange for the provision of goods or services.

1. Please provide a list of all bodies from which the Force has earned revenue since 01/01/2016.

2. For each bodies please state:

a) how many transactions the Force has conducted with it
b) the total revenue earned
c) a description of the services provided by the Force

3. Please state how many forms have been submitted to the International Police Assistance Board (IPAB) or Joint International Policing Hub (JIPH) with respect to the Force’s revenue generating activities.

4. For each form please state

a) the date of its submission
b) names of the contracting parties in the forms
c) description of the services to be provided
d) summary of risks identified to the Force

5. Please provide copies of all IPAB or JIPH forms described in question three.

I have structured the request at question two so as to avoid asking for specific pieces of commercial information that may prejudice the interests of any person.

It would be my expectation that if you determine that responding to question five would prejudice international relations, and you conclude that the public interest, which may be finely balanced, is not tipped in favour of disclosure, that you will still be able to provide a degree of information on the issue by responding to question four.

If you do consider that some information is exempt from disclosure, please cite the section of the FOIA you are using to redact information. In line with the spirit and intent of the legislation, please do not withhold information on a 'blanket' basis and ensure any redactions you make are sufficiently granular.

Where applying exemptions which contain a public interest text, please also explain, in line with the guiding principles of the Information Tribunal, how the public interest would be, or would be likely to be, materially prejudiced by disclosure.

I would prefer to receive all information in electronic format and in machine-readable formats (such as .xls) where applicable. I would be grateful if you could acknowledge receipt of this request.

Kind regards,

Mitchell Simmons

MDP-FOI-DP (MULTIUSER),

Good Afternoon Mr Simmons,

Further to your request below, our Finance department have asked for
clarity on what you mean by revenue.  I quote:-

"By Revenue is this referring to what the MDP generate as part of income
generation through Wider Markets or is it referring to the costs that we
recover to offset our expenditure?"

Please could you provide clarification on this point so I am able to
progress your request?

Many thanks

Kind regards

Helen Wright
