Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom
of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

Thank you for your email dated 12 February 2010 in which you made a
request for access to certain information which may be held by Northumbria
Police.

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of
access to information held by a Public Authority (including the Police),
subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

1. Please provide the total numbers of officers by rank within your
force for 2008, 2009, and 2010 (so far).

2. How many of those officers were assigned to response duties in
2008, 2009, and 2010 (so far).

3. How many police officers are primarily based at each station at
present, by rank?

4. What are the non response administerial departments within your
force at present?

5. How many police officers are assigned to each of these
departments at present, by rank?
