Police Officers in SPA

The request was successful.

Andrew Donnachie

Dear Scottish Police Authority,

Thank you for your response re police officers working in the Authority. I was surprised that it contained less information than previous requests for the same information,eg there was no rank etc, so perhaps I need to ask more specific questions.

So can I please ask again;

How many police officers are currently working for/seconded to the Authority.

What is their rank.

What roles are they performing

Does SPA have any staff that perform those roles or have the same/similar job title?

Does SPA have any staff in the redeployment pool? If so what was their former job/job title?

Yours faithfully,

Andrew Donnachie

Dear Scottish Police Authority,

I am left wondering what exactly is So difficult about my request that you cannot answer it within the 20 working days. It does make me think I have hit a raw nerve and that there is something more to this. All I wanted to know was how many officers you had, their rank, the jobs they were doing and if you had people in redeployment. And you can’t answer this question in 4 weeks? Perhaps I should start cc the justice minister into my requests as there is obviously something Amis at spa.

Yours faithfully,

Andrew Donnachie

Dear Scottish Police Authority,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Scottish Police Authority's handling of my FOI request 'Police Officers in SPA'.

I am wondering why it took you 5 months to answer this question and you couldn’t even get it right? You came back to me and asked for clarification about my request. I specifically told you that I was only interested in staff who were in the redeployment or supernumerary pool currently working in SPA corporate or forensic services. Yet your text mentions staff working in PSoS. Really? Why bother asking me for clarification if you are then going to completely ignore what I say.

Your response says 18 staff but then says for 4 staff it’s personal data?

Please provide me with the correct information and if I don’t get it within the prescribed period this time I will be highlighting this shocking incompetence to the Information Commissioner.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/p...

Yours faithfully,

Andrew Donnachie
