Essex Police can report as follows:
Caveat: The data / statement is correct as of 18^th January 2024.
The information is provided by HR Organisational Management and include
the strength within the Force Control Room (FCR) only and do not include
other roles within Contact Management. Figures given will allow for Police
Constables (PCs) working their contracted hours, some of whom may be part
time, therefore the information may not be given as a whole number.
The new Contact Management restructure goes live on 02/04/2024.
1. How many Police Officers of the rank of constable currently work in

PCs in FCR as of 01/01/2024 is 55.88.
2. How many police officers at the rank of constable worked in the
control room in 2021?
PCs in FCR as of 01/01/2021 was 36.41.
3. How many police officers of the rank of constable do you expect to
work in your control room in 2024?
The establishment for PCs in FCR under the reconstruction is 54 who will
be in post from 02/04/2024.
