Police injury pension
Dear Avon and Somerset Constabulary,
If a selected medical practitioner has a face to face appointment for the purpose of a review with an ex-officer under reg37 pibr 2006, how many months need to elapsed before the matters discussed with the smp and therefore the point in time medical condition of the person being reviewed is out of date and therefore incompatible to base a final decision upon?
Yours faithfully,
Marshall Myers

Dear Mr Myers
I write in connection with your request for information dated 23^rd
January concerning selected medical practitioners.
Specifically you asked:

months need to elapsed before the matters discussed with the smp and
therefore the point in time medical condition of the person being reviewed

There is no set time for a review to be considered out of date. Following
the principles laid out in the Police Negotiating Board Joint Guidance for
Improving the Management of Ill Health, it is dependent on individual
circumstances.
Yours sincerely
