Police and Disclosure and Barring Service are a conflict of interests

Waiting for an internal review by Cumbria Constabulary of their handling of this request.

Dear Cumbria Constabulary,

It has come to my attention that police constabularies in the UK are employing people with serious criminal convictions.

1) Why are police constabularies employing convicted paedophiles?

2) How can the UK police give discretion to employ people with serious convictions?

3) What is a serious/minor conviction?

4) These people who are employed with serious convictions, would not be employed in social care, why are you employing them?

5) As police constabularies are employing convicted paedophiles, how can police constabularies decide on who works with vulnerable people via the Disclosure and Barring Service (CRB)?
This link is not a isolated case >>> http://metro.co.uk/2014/12/22/paedophile...

6) How many police constables have serious criminal offences and are employed by Cumbria Police from 2013 to 2016 ?

7) Who has given police constabularies the right to be Judge and Jury on spent convictions?

On the link attached is a list of issues that would concern people working in social care, as they protect vulnerable people from the criminal element. http://www.huytonfreeman.co.uk/2016/05/h...

Dear Robertson, Kinzie,

You are employing people with criminal records, and i would like to know who you would not employ ?

How many police constables have serious criminal records who are employed by Cumbria Police ?

It has come to my attention that the UK police have a two tier system going on, and if your a police constable with a criminal record, you are not judged so harsly as you would working in social care, what makes police constables better people with serious criminal records ? In some cases continuing to employ police constables appears to directly contradict Government guidelines which insist on ‘proven integrity’.They highlight that people with convictions for certain police constables, including assault, dangerous driving and burglary, should not be recruited, but you disregard Government guidelines why ?

As the press have made FOI requests regarding how many police constables have criminal records from 2013 to 2016 i am not surprised you are refusing to answer question six.

As you have knowledge of every job occupation on the earth, how does that put you in a position to be judge and jury regarding people with spent/minor criminal convictions ? (this question is generic)

Yours sincerely,

peter danby and associates

Dear Cherry, David,

1 ) As you have a criteria of the type of person you employ to be a police constable, can you clarify what person who has a criminal record would be employed by yourselves ?

2) Who has given the police authority to employ anybody as a police constable ?

3) Why are the police not making it public with who they would not employ with a criminal record ?

4) In contrast with people who work in social care, why are the UK police having in-house checks ?

Yours sincerely,
