Dear Scottish Natural Heritage,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Scottish Natural Heritage's handling of my FOI request 'Poisoning of sea birds by the RSPB'BECAUSE i have been told that birds have been poisoned after the 1982 wild life act that it was done under general licence

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address:

David Street's information request has not been answered in full by your organisation. As we are dealing with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds a full answer is required in relation to David Street's information request as people should know if they are giving money to an organisation that kills birds or does not kill birds under the mantle of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.

Something is a bit smelly and double standards here, I hope it is not a dead bird.

"Prior to the enactment of the Wildlife and Countryside Act in 1981 the licensing of such
activities was the responsibility of the Secretary of State for Scotland. After this Act came into
force, this activity could be licensed by either the Scottish Secretary of State or the relevant
Nature Conservancy Council. The relevant Nature Conservancy Council in this case would
have been the Nature Conservancy Council up until 1991, the Nature Conservancy Council
for Scotland between 1991 and 1992, and from then onwards Scottish Natural Heritage."

What a load of gibberish, will you ever answer a question truthfully.

So the Royal Society for the protection of birds should read the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds that we like. If a gamekeeper was to do this to protect his grouse the RSPB would not be too please to say the least. Double standards again.

I would make the point that I agree with what the RSPB did but not the double standards as terns are more important than gulls but do not then prosecute someone for having gull eggs.

It is or is it not against the RSPB Royal Charter not to kill birds?
