Plymouth Domestic Abuse Advocacy Project [DAAP]

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Plymouth City Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Plymouth City Council,

Please provide the following information;

Who are the 'partners' within the Plymouth Domestic Abuse Advocacy Project [DAAP]
working alongside it with Plymouth city Council?

How is DAAP it funded? Please give full details of funding over the last
3 years - where has it come from; how much, when etc?

How many people have DAAP represented [for free] in the family
court - since it started?

How many Court applications has DAAP applied for within the last 3
years on behalf of these individuals/families?

How many ex-parte hearings were granted in the last 3 years?

How many non-molestation orders has it applied for in the last 3
years?

How many have been granted?

How many have been appealed or 'set-aside'?

How many have resulted in a breach or arrest or committals?

What safe guards, checks and protocols does the DAAP have in place
to ensure that false/unsubstantiated claims are not made on
statements of truths [under oath] to the courts?

If someone is already privately represented by a solicitor within
family court proceedings - can that same individual still then ask
the DAAP for help and get them to represent them in court to help
get an injunction / non molestation order?

Who is in charge of the DAAP and who takes legal responsibility for
its actions?
[Please give historic hierarchy for the previous 3 years.]

Does the DAAP help males who have suffered from Domestic Abuse from
their female partners? If not - who does it suggest they contact?

Does DAAP work with the Plymouth Domestic Abuse Service? If so, how and in what capacity?

Does DAAP work with Devon and Cornwall Police? If so, how and in what capacity?

Who is responsible for service of Court orders such as non-molestation orders through the county court from applications from clients represented by DAAP? Are DAAP responsible and liable for the service of these court orders? If not - who is?

Yours faithfully,

Danny Bamping
