Dear Mr Clift
Your request for information ref. SOT63071
We have now considered your request and unfortunately we do not hold the
information that you have asked for.
I would like under the freedom of information act to Know what punishments
where handed down by your licensing pannel to all Private hire drivers
convicted in a court of law over the last 6 years
Response: The role of the ‘licensing panel’ is not to issue ‘punishments’.
Also the council will not be aware of ‘all private hire drivers convicted
in a court of law’ since the conviction information we are able to access
and check is periodically reviewed and edited by the Disclosure and
Barring service in line with data protection legislation and duties.
