Please provide details of the number of staff parking permits issued under previous regime & new regime implemented 1st January 2019

Nigel Barker made this Freedom of Information request to East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust,

A new regime for use of staff car parks has been implemented at Colchester General Hospital. Previously all staff who requested a permit were entitle to one. As there are insufficient parking spaces in the staff car parks a new regime has been implemented on 1st January 2019 which is intended to reduce the number of permits issued thus relieving the demand for parking spaces in the staff car parks. Under this new regime permits are issued under a needs based points system. From a previous request for information the number of staff parking spaces is said to be 1460 with the intention to issue 3000 permits.

Please can you provide the number of parking permits issued under the previous parking regime?

Please can you provide the number of applications for a parking permit under the new needs based points system, the number issued, the number refused & the number that are under appeal or review?

Yours faithfully,

Nigel Barker
