Please may you kindly attach this sound file.
Dear Transport for London,
I am requesting if you can please attach an MP3 sound file of the horn jingle sound that plays on the platforms at Norwood Junction station every time that a fast train passes through without stopping.
Yours faithfully,
Dennis Williams

Dear Dennis Williams
Our ref: FOI-2243-2122/GH
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 3
January 2022 asking for a sound file from Norwood Junction station.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.
Unfortunately we do not hold the information you require. TfL operates
London Overground services at Norwood Junction station. These are all
stopping services and we therefore do not own or hold the soundfile for
the non-stopping fast services which travel through the station, which are
operated by Southern.
I am sorry we are unable to assist you on this occasion.
If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached
information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely

Dear FOI,
I am requesting you carry out an Internal Review in to your response please.
Norwood Junction is a TFL (London Overground) station and you therefore manage the Amey automated announcement system at this station. This sound file is part of the Amey automated announcement system which you control at TFL (London Overground) stations.
The fact that it is only Southern trains that pass through without stopping makes no difference. This sound file is nothing to do with Southern at all. You are in control of this. Southern have no involvement in this. Plus this jingle also plays when Goods trains and ECS London Overground trains and diverted Southeastern trains pass through. This is your sound file.
It is the trumpet horn jingle sound that plays over the speakers at Norwood Junction right before the "stand well away from the edge of the platform" announcement comes on every time a fast train passes through.
I believe that you hold this sound file of this jingle within your Amey automated announcement system so if you could attach it that would be much appreciated. You have given the automated announcement files from this system to people before so i am certain you hold this file too as it is from the same Amey system.
Yours sincerely,
Dennis Williams

Dear Mr Williams
I am contacting you regarding your email concerning the response provided to FOI-2243-2122. Following your email of 28 January 2022 a review has been carried out by an Independent Review Panel (‘the Panel’) consisting of individuals who were not involved in the handling of your request. You have disputed the response provided to your request for a sound file from Norwood Junction station.
The panel have liaised with our contact at Arriva and we can again confirm that we do not hold the sound file you are seeking. As advised TfL operates London Overground services at Norwood Junction station. The sound file you seek is only used on 'fast trains' which solely just pass through the station and which are not ran by TfL (London Overground services). Our services are all 'stopping services' and TfL do not own, hold or use the sound file.
Therefore we are unable to assist further on this occasion.
The Panel appreciate that the above response may come as a disappointment but we hope our response has provided a better clarity regarding the provision of the information you seek. However if you are dissatisfied with the internal review actions to date please do not hesitate to contact me ([TfL request email]) or alternately you can refer the matter to the independent authority responsible for enforcing the Freedom of Information Act, at the following address:
Information Commissioner’s Office
Wycliffe House
Water Lane
Wilmslow
Cheshire SK9 5AF
A complaint form is also available on the ICO’s website (www.ico.org.uk).
