HL FOI & Information Compliance, House of Lords

Dear Mr. Gurney,

I am writing in response to your request (copied below) to the House of
Lords.

The Code of Conduct and Guide to the Code of Conduct sets out the
categories of interests including financial interests/shareholding Members
are required to provide to the House Administration.  This is published on
the Parliamentary website at:
[1]http://www.parliament.uk/documents/WIS-n...
(page 15  onwards).

All information registered by Members is published in the Register of
Interests at:

[2]http://www.parliament.uk/mps-lords-and-o...

The Register lists all of the interests declared in an A-Z format by
Member. It is not possible to reverse search the Register by interest,
however the find tool (Ctrl+F) under ‘Edit’ will find text on each page.

The Register is also available to search at:

[3]http://www.data.parliament.uk/dataset/lo...

The data can be searched and downloaded using multiple filters and
displayed in a number of formats including CSV.

If any information relevant to your request is held by the House
Administration it will be accessible to you in this Register.

If a Member has declared an interest in connection with a parliamentary
proceeding such information will be recorded in the Official Report
(Hansard).  This is also published and available for you to search on the
parliamentary website at:

[4]http://www.parliament.uk/business/public...

It can be searched by category, Member and date.  You may also wish to
search the entire website for references to the companies you are
interested in. This should locate references in the Lords Hansard but may
also find any other uses of the words.

In formal Freedom of Information terms, if any relevant information is
held it will be exempt from disclosure under section 21 of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 as information reasonably accessible to you by means
(described above) other than making a request under the Act.

I hope this is helpful.

You may, if dissatisfied with the treatment of your request, ask the House
of Lords to conduct an internal review. This should be addressed to
[5][email address] or to the Freedom of Information Officer, House
of Lords, London SW1A 0PW and explain clearly the nature of your
complaint. Arrangements will be made for someone who has not been involved
in dealing with your request to conduct an internal review within 20
working days.

If, following this review, you remain dissatisfied with the House’s
treatment of your request for information; you may then take your
complaint to the Information Commissioner at Wycliffe House, Water Lane,
Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.

Yours sincerely,

Frances Grey
