Platform Works for Hertford

Philip Ridley made this Freedom of Information request to Network Rail Limited

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Network Rail Limited should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Network Rail Limited,

Greater Anglia have undertaken a number of surveys, construction feasibility, and modelling work to look at platform lengths versus selective door opening at stations utilising beacons. This is for the purpose of accommodating the new, longer trains that they have on order. We understand that these works are programmed to be completed in Spring 2019.

Please provide these documents for stations served by Hertford East trains, comprising Hackney Downs, Seven Sisters, Edmonton Green, Tottenham Hale, Ponders End, Brimsdown, Enfield Lock, Waltham Cross, Cheshunt, Broxbourne, Rye House, St Margarets, Ware and Hertford East.

In particular, please confirm whether Hertford East trains will continue to serve at Edmonton Green in peak flow direction.

Yours faithfully,

Philip Ridley

Dear FOI,

I have been advised that White Hart Lane is down for Abellio Greater Anglia services during event days at the Spurs Stadium on days when there is a mainline embargo and AGA trains are routed via Seven Sisters. Please therefore confirm whether selective door opening is planned for White Hart Lane.

Yours sincerely,

Philip Ridley

Dear Network Rail Limited,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Network Rail Limited's handling of my FOI request 'Platform Works for Hertford'.

The reports I have requested have been produced by Abellio Greater Anglia and it is inconceivable that they have not been forwarded to Network Rail for its consideration, so you will hold these documents and they should be released in light of them providing important information in relation to potential future Network Rail infrastructure investment and also services to Network Rail and TfL stations. Release of this information that you must hold must be in the public interest.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/p...

Yours faithfully,

Philip Ridley

FOI, Network Rail Limited

Dear Mr Ridley

Thank you for your email of 4 December 2018 in relation to the response that you received in relation to request FOI2018/01349, which I will deal with as an internal review.

The purpose of the internal review procedure is to provide a fair, thorough and independent review of the handling of your request under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.

In this case, the internal review will consider whether Network Rail holds any recorded information that is within the scope of the wording of the request.

In accordance with regulation 11(4) of the EIR, I will complete the review no later than 40 working days from the date of your complaint, in this case by 4 February 2019.

If you have any queries about the internal review, please contact me quoting reference FOI2018/01638.

Yours sincerely

Dear FOI,

Please respond as soon as possible. It is total nonsense that Abellio has not released and discussed with you its assessment of platform extensions / selective door opening on the line, etc. If I do not have a sensible response soon I will revert to the Information Commissioner.

Yours sincerely,

Philip Ridley
