PlanningAdvertsing Permission for Pole-Mounted Signposts in Private Enterprise Car Parks

Waiting for an internal review by Chesterfield Borough Council of their handling of this request.

Dear Chesterfield Borough Council,

I am writing to you to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act:

Has planning and/or advertising permission been sought and/or granted for the pole-mounted signs in the following car parks:

B and Q Sprirewalk Business Park, S40 2WG,

The Little Castle, Enterprise Way, S44 5HP,

McDonald's, M1 Commerce Park, S44 5HB,

The Range, Unit 1, Lordsmill Street, S41 7RS,

Ravenside Retail Park, Markham Road, S40 1TA,

Spar, M1 Commerce Park, S44 5EQ, and

Lordsmill Street Retail Park, S41 7RW ?

Since the majority of signs on these sites exceed the 0.3 sq metre for which consent is deemed, what action is being, or will be taken, by the Council to enforce the regulations?

How many private enterprise car parks within the Borough are currently displaying illegal pole-mounted signs, and how much revenue has been lost by failure to implement/enforce planning/advertising regulations?

Dear Chesterfield Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Chesterfield Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'PlanningAdvertsing Permission for Pole-Mounted Signposts in Private Enterprise Car Parks'.

I have been informed that signs at The Range and Lordsmill Street Retail Park benefit from deemed consent. However, some signs at The Range measure 70 cm x 60 cm and at the Lordsmill Street Retail Park 90 cm x 70 cm; both are in excess of 0.3 sq. m, and are therefore ineligible for deemed consent.

I also wish to complain formally that this inaccurate information has been offered in response to my query.

I have not yet received a response to my question 'How many private enterprise car parks within the Borough are currently displaying illegal pole mounted signs, and how much revenue has been lost by failure to implement/enforce planning/advertising regulations?'

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/p...

Yours faithfully,
