Planning permissions from Crown Estates

For the time-period is 02 June 2014 to todays date (i.e.23 June 2015).

Question 1…
During the aforementioned period has the council granted planning permission to any proposal submitted by and or on behalf of the Crown Estate. If the answer is yes can you please state the date when the application was submitted? Can you please state when the council granted permission. Can you please provide a copy of the original planning application. Can you please provide a brief description of the proposal concerned.

Answer 1
The information requested is already publicly available. The Statutory Planning Register is on the Brighton & Hove City Council website. The register is searchable. The timeperiods can be put in the search engine and the applicant and agents details can be searched. A link to the register is attached for convenience.

The whole planning application submission can be viewed online (i.e. all of the documents submitted by an applicant). A hardcopy casefile which includes all correspondence can be viewed by calling 01273 292222 to make an appointment to view the full casefile.

Question 2
Is the council currently considering planning applications submitted by and or on behalf of the Crown Estate which have not been approved. If the answer is yes can you please provide a brief outline of the proposal. Can you please state the date the proposal was submitted. Can you please provide a copy of the original planning application.

Question 3
During the aforementioned period has the council exchanged correspondence and communications including emails with the Crown Estate. These correspondence and communications will include but will not be limited to the planning matters mentioned above. If the answer is yes can you please provide copies of that correspondence and communications including emails.

This is an extremely wide question and the LPA does not have the capacity to search all staff emails and records. If it can be limited to any applications identified from the register we will be happy to search on this matter.

Question 4
During the aforementioned period has the council received any written complaints (including emails) about applications submitted by the Crown Estate. If the answer is yes can you please provide copies of those complaints including emails. Please feel free to redact the names of any members of the public who have complained but please do not redact the names of any elected officials and or charities and or businesses and or voluntary groups and or campaigns and or conservation organisations.”
