Dear Stroud District Council,

I'm writing to enquire about the following information in relation to your Local Planning Authority.

I would like to know:

• How many planning permission requests were received last year?
• How many planning permission requests were rejected last year?
• How many planning permission requests were rejected due to protected species?
• Of these, how many were rejected due to: badgers, bats, birds, dormice, newts, invertebrates, natterjack toads, otters, reptiles, water voles, white-clawed crayfish, or other?

Regarding point 1 and 2 of your enquiry, the LPA are required to report applications they have permitted / rejected to the Government and such data can be viewed online through the following link.

Please be advised that this data includes all formal applications, but excludes supplementary applications such as minor amendments, discharge of conditions, and tree works. Please let us know if you also require information on these excluded applications and we will interrogate our database.
